Dance Line Tryouts

The Portland State University Cheerleading program will have a dance line again for the 2010-2011 season. The team will be coached by Stephanie Sheron, a former UO cheerleader and Portland Trail Blazer dancer. Tryouts are coming up soon and will be held May 2nd from 8:30am - 1:30pm in Room 207 at the Stott Center. Please see the "Tryout" link on the left for detailed information and requirements.

12 New Scholarships Offered for 2010-2011 Season

The Portland State University Cheerleading program is proud to announce 12 new scholarships for the 2010-2011 season! Scholarships of $750-1500 per year will be given to six male and six female athletes. Scholarships will be split into three equal payments and will given at the beginning of each term. Amounts and eligibility will be based on many factors, including: tryout performance, leadership, attendance to mandatory and non-mandatory practice, games, fundraisers & events.

Big Changes for 2010-2011

The 2010-2011 Portland State University will have a new team dynamic. Next years squad will be two distinct squads, partner stunters and dancers. The stunt line will perform at all home football, basketball and volleyball contests. The dance line will perform at all home football and most Mens's basketball games.

Stunter Tryout & Clinic Dates Announced

Tryouts for next season will be held on Sunday,May 2nd from 8:30am - 1:30pm. Please see the "Tryout" link on the left for detailed information and requirements.

2010-2011 Stunter Tryouts

Tryouts for next season will be held on Friday, April 23rd from 6:30-10pm and Saturday, April 24th from 9am-6pm. Please see the "Tryout" link on the left for detailed information and requirements.

Stunter Tryout Clinics

There will be three non-mandatory tryout clinics to help introduce you to collegiate partner stunting and to better prepare you for tryouts.  All clinics will be held at StyleShock Cheer & Dance. These will be Thursday, April 1st, 8th & 22nd from 8-10:00pm. Cost for each clinic is $10. All participants must sign a liability waiver (must be signed by parent/guardian if athlete is 17 or under).
